Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Civil Engineer, EIT to support project teams in leading design aspects of residential land development. You will prepare documents, drafts and finalize deliverables including site plans, reports, cost estimates and schedules, while coordinating with clients and agencies.

Strong communication and AutoCAD Civil 3D skills are required. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience and demonstrated ability to translate zoning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of civil engineering experience, with leadership of design aspects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading design, technical writing, 3-D modeling, MS Office and plan interpretation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead design aspects of development projects in residential land development.
• Prepare project documents, proposals, site plans and engineering reports.
• Draft, review and finalize project deliverables including cost estimates and schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, municipalities, and agencies.
• Conduct site visits, analyze survey data and review zoning requirements.

Civil Engineer, EIT - Residential Land Development

You will play a key role in supporting project teams by leading design aspects and addressing engineering issues across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams and clients to prepare project documents and proposals.
• Draft, review, and finalize project deliverables including: Site plans Engineering reports Cost estimates Project schedules Permit applications Due diligence reports
• Make edits and modifications to plans based on client and agency feedback.
• Research local/state zoning requirements for properties and projects.
• Conduct site visits and field assignments.
• Analyze site survey data and consider development factors.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete assignments efficiently and according to quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, municipalities, and agencies under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Update Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status.
• Apply fundamental engineering concepts to practical situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Two to four (2 - 4) years of experience in civil engineering, with experience leading design aspects of development projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Grading Design, Technical Writing, 3-D Modeling, MS Office, and Plan Interpretation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
