Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a site design engineer to collaborate on residential, commercial, and industrial projects in Austin, TX. You will design site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and support conceptual grading and site layout efforts.

The role involves preparing analyses and cost estimates, assisting with permit applications, and coordinating with project managers and clients. Occasional client meetings and multi-discipline teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

Responsibilities

  • Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
  • Prepares and computes due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis.
  • Assists in production of final construction drawings.
  • Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
  • Assists project managers as requested.
  • Assists with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
  • Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Attends client and public meetings—days or evenings.
  • Participates in business development efforts as requested.
