Job summary

The Civil Engineer role at Hut 8 is based in our Miami headquarters with travel to project sites. You will oversee site grading, drainage, utilities, and early works review for data center developments, ensuring constructability and permit readiness across multiple sites.

You will coordinate with design consultants, assess compliance with program standards, support permitting strategies, and help manage field decisions during construction, with a focus on schedule and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil site design or owner's-side civil review for industrial, mission-critical, or large commercial developments.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility infrastructure.
• Experience supporting entitlement and site permitting with AHJs and DOTs.
• Familiar with Civil 3D deliverables and geotechnical reports.
• Construction-phase experience with RFIs, submittals, and QA/QC.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and re-prioritize weekly with schedules.
• Excellent communication with consultants, agencies, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Site Design Review: assess grading, drainage, utilities, and earthwork for constructability and code compliance.
• Permitting & Entitlements Support: track review cycles and support submittals with agencies.
• Utility & Site Infrastructure Coordination: coordinate water, sewer, gas, and telecom design with utilities.
• Construction Support: respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support QA/QC decisions.
• Diligence & Early Works: assist with grading feasibility and early-works packages.
• Program Standards: maintain civil design standards and update details across the portfolio.
