Job summary

City of Tracy is seeking an Associate/Associate Civil Engineer to manage CIP and land development projects from planning through construction. The role involves collaboration with developers, consultants, contractors, and city leadership to deliver public infrastructure improvements across Tracy.

Experience with land development, subdivision plans, and utility infrastructure is highly desirable. The position requires independent work, contract administration, and potential PE licensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• PE license or EIT is highly desirable and may come with incentive.
• Experience managing CIP projects and land development is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and inspect public works CIP and land development projects.
• Review plans for compliance with City, State, and Federal standards.
• Provide project management, contract administration, and coordination with developers and agencies.
• Prepare staff reports and presentations; oversee project timelines and budgets.
