Job summary

Spectrum Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Civil/Highway Engineer to lead roadway infrastructure designs, prepare construction-ready documentation, and uphold high technical standards across transportation projects.

Responsibilities include designing highways, intersections, ADA curb ramps, and pedestrian facilities, along with preparing drawings, specs, and bid packages. PE preferred; strong teamwork and communication required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• At least 7 years of roadway-related design experience, including intersections or interchanges, ADA curb ramps, parking, and pedestrian facilities.
• PE license preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and InRoads; OpenRoads familiarity is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AASHTO roadway guidance and relevant state and federal roadway design and traffic-control standards.
• Experience interpreting transportation-agency plans, specifications, and design requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication, sound independent judgment, and the ability to collaborate with junior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

• Coordinate design priorities and collaborate with project teams to deliver practical, compliant transportation improvements.
