We are seeking a Senior Highway/Roads Engineer to lead detailed development of rural and urban roadway design projects and support a range of transportation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve in the lead technical role in the detailed development of rural and urban roadway design projects.
- Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systems.
- Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity.
- Provide guidance for technical staff.
- Assume project‑management duties and interact with clients as needed.
- Supervise the work of medium‑sized staff of professionals and technicians as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Utilize CADD production and modeling software including OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation SS10.
Preferred Qualifications
- MSCE degree.
- Advanced Temporary Traffic Control Certification.
- Experience with Civil 3D, InRoads, and Microsoft Office applications.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, concept alignment preparation, geometrical layout, and CAD base alignment plans.
- Experience with coordinating survey, grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout is a plus.
