Loureiro Engineering Associates in Plainville, CT seeks a civil engineer with 4+ years in civil/site design to join our employee-owned firm. The role offers collaborative work with PMs and senior engineers, and opportunities to mentor junior staff.

We value problem solvers who can manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and who are proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. EIT is required; PE is preferred. Office locations include Plainville with flexibility to Cromwell or Groton.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• 4+ years of experience in civil engineering design with an engineering consulting firm.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to the design and development of civil/site engineering projects.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and prepare design reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Direct and review work completed by junior engineers and drafters.
• Use engineering software and design tools to develop plans and technical documents.
• Assist with scope, schedule, and budget management.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Follow company safety protocols and procedures.
• Perform other related work as apparent or assigned.

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team - ideally based in our Plainville, CT office, with flexibility to sit in our Cromwell or Groton, CT locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated mid-level engineer looking to expand their career within a collaborative and employee-owned consulting firm. What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• 4+ years of experience in civil engineering design with an engineering consulting firm.
• EIT certification (required); PE license (preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of site development, grading, drainage, and permitting.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements
