Job summary

Loureiro Engineering Associates seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth from its Plainville, CT base. You will cultivate high-value partnerships, lead cross-functional teams, and leverage market insights to achieve ambitious revenue goals while expanding Loureiro’s market presence.

You will mentor junior staff and represent the company at industry events, strengthening executive-level client relationships and shaping high-level strategy within a 100% employee-owned

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of business development experience with a track record of securing major accounts.
  • Experience developing business with industrial, manufacturing, or environmental health & safety clients is highly desirable.
  • Strong market analysis, competitive research, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Engineering background is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead identification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities with high-value clients.
  • Exceed annual growth targets for new clients and opportunities.
  • Build executive relationships with key clients and partners to support retention and expansion.
  • Coordinate with project teams and division heads for seamless delivery.
  • Oversee lead generation, RFQ/RFP submissions, and proposals.

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Plainville, CT. In this leadership role, you will drive strategic growth, cultivate high-value partnerships, and expand the company’s market presence. You will leverage market insights, strengthen executive-level client relationships, and develop innovative strategies to achieve ambitious revenue goals while guiding cross-functional teams in the execution of business development initiatives.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the identification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities, targeting high-value industrial, manufacturing, and environmental health & safety clients.
  • Achieve and exceed ambitious annual growth targets for new clients and business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients and partners to support long‑term retention and expansion.
  • Coordinate with project teams and division heads to ensure seamless delivery of client commitments.
  • Analyze market dynamics, track competitors, and apply insights to inform business development strategies.
  • Oversee lead generation, RFQ/RFP submissions, and proposal development to drive business growth.
  • Represent Loureiro at industry associations, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Mentor and guide junior business development staff, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.
  • Partner with leadership to define strategic initiatives and contribute to high‑level decision‑making.

What You Bring
  • BS / BA in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of business development experience, with a proven record of securing major accounts and leading teams.
  • Experience developing business with industrial, manufacturing, or environmental health & safety clients is highly desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with market analysis, competitive research, and strategic planning.
  • Engineering experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Ability to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.
