Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineer in Champaign or Effingham, IL to work on municipal and private projects including site design, water and sewer design, sidewalks, and roadway grading.

The role involves planning, designing, and managing projects from inception to completion with oversight from senior engineers; collaborating with various disciplines; attending meetings; supporting business development; and building strong client relationships on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• 8-15 years of civil engineering experience required.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, complete, and manage municipal civil engineering projects from inception to completion with oversight from senior engineers
• Prepare and develop construction plans and documents
• Collaborate with Farnsworth Group disciplines and subconsultants
• Occasionally attend project, city staff, and board meetings

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution

Salary Range

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
