Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer in Champaign or Effingham, IL.

Location: Champaign or Effingham, IL. Job Id: 3449. # of Openings: 1.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, design, and manage a variety of owner-driven civil engineering projects
• Organize and complete projects from inception to completion
• Support internal and external clients on land development related projects
• Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and client consultants
• Balance internal and external project schedules and staffing
• Prepare project proposals
• Assist with business development efforts
• Assist the professional growth and development of junior staff

What You’ll Need

• BS in Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required, Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) a plus
• Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Strong background in site design for both greenfield and redevelopment projects
• Strong background and working knowledge of IDOT Standard Specifications and requirements
• Extensive experience with municipal/development related transportation projects

Nice to Haves

• Sanitary sewer, water line and storm water management design experience a plus
• Ability to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activities
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
• Contract and negotiating skills

Salary Range: $105,000 - $150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, and by internal and external equity).
