Anderson Bogert, a locally owned civil engineering and surveying firm in Eastern Iowa, seeks an entry-level Civil Engineer to work on municipal infrastructure, transportation improvements, and land development projects from day one.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gain hands-on design experience, develop project management skills, and help deliver practical solutions that improve local communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• E.I./E.I.T. registration or ability to become registered within six months.
• Excellent communication and writing skills are essential.
• Strong technical skills are required.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and insurability approval by the firm are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and design of municipal, transportation, and site development projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop technical reports, exhibits, and permit documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
• Assist with construction administration and field observation as projects are built.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and technical staff.
• Continue developing technical knowledge through mentorship and professional training.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry‑Level Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of civil engineering projects while developing technical design, project management, and client communication skills. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers and technical staff to help deliver high‑quality infrastructure projects from planning through construction.

Preferred Qualifications

• 0 to 10 years of civil engineering experience through internships or full-time employment
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with municipal infrastructure, transportation, or site development projects
