Job summary

Ackerman-Estvold in Boise, ID is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to support design development and field coordination on civil projects. You will help move projects from concept to construction by ensuring plans are clear, buildable, and aligned with client needs.

The Opportunity

Your Typical Day

Your day as a Civil Engineer balances office focus with time in the field. You’ll start by checking plan sets, organizing priorities, and preparing CAD updates so the team has clear, current information. Later, you may head to a job site to observe progress, confirm details match the drawings, and capture notes for the next steps.
Back at the office, you’ll compile documentation, line up what needs attention next, and join meetings to talk through project goals and resolve problems as they arise. Regular touchpoints with clients and teammates keep Construction and Design decisions moving forward, while your mix of field context and CAD work helps you develop practical, real-world engineering judgment.
