Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Fort Lauderdale, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Fort Lauderdale.

You will perform site development engineering and project management for a variety of land development projects, including site design, permitting, and use of software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil engineering experience at a design firm.
• ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/storm drainage software.
• Work on land development site designs.
• Contribute to research, coordination, cost estimating, and client interactions.
• Receive on-the-job and formal training with mentorship and exposure to plan production and project finances.
