Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Boca-Delray, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

The selected candidate will perform site development engineering and project management tasks, complete site civil design, permitting, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D; projects include land development site designs. Training, mentorship, and client interactions are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil engineering experience at a design firm.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering.
• EIT or Engineer-In-Training certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for a variety of projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/storm drainage programs.
• Work on land development site designs and prepare bid packages and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, staff, and management; assist in cost estimating and permitting for land disturbance.
• Receive training and mentorship while contributing to plan production and project financials.
