Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Tucson, AZ office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This is an on-site role focused on site development engineering and project management for diverse projects.

You will work with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/storm drainage tools, gaining exposure to plan production, client interactions, and mentorship in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil engineering experience at a design firm.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines with urgency and initiative.
• Detail-oriented with a collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for varied projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.
• Contribute to land development site designs and project coordination.
• Engage in research, cost estimating, and client interactions; support mentorship.
• Participate in plan production and project financials as part of the team.
