Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Atlanta, GA seeks a Civil Engineer-in-Training with 2+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. The position is on-site and focuses on site development engineering, permitting, and hydrology modeling alongside AutoCAD and Civil 3D usage.

You will handle project management tasks, bid packages, and cost estimating while receiving mentorship and professional growth opportunities in plan production and client interactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil engineering experience in a design firm.
• ABET-accredited degree in civil engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management for various projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use of hydrology and storm drainage programs; AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Develop land development site designs and coordinate with team members.
• Support cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance, and bid package preparation.
• Receive mentorship and exposure to plan production and client interactions.
