Job summary

Kimley-Horn seeks a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in our Saint Paul, MN office to join the Land Development team. The role requires 2+ years of experience and involves site development engineering, project management, permitting, and coordination with clients and staff.

You will perform site civil design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology and storm drainage programs, and related software, while gaining mentorship and training toward professional growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet client deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for a variety of projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including hydrology modeling program, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist with research, coordination, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages and technical specifications.
• Receive on-the-job and formal training with mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
