• Interest in Water Resources or related discipline.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Learn discipline standards and SSR procedures; apply under supervision.
• Assist with design analyses and basic calculations using industry software.
• Support production of designs and documents in Revit/CADD; incorporate redlines.
• Coordinate project designs with other disciplines; identify equipment needs.
• Observe project managers in budgeting and progress tracking; document findings.
• Assist with proposals, technical documentation, and presentations.
• Develop communication with contractors and sales to understand scope and feasibility with oversight.
• Attend project site visits to observe field conditions and progress.

What You’ll Do

As a Civil EIT I, you’ll learn discipline standards and tools while supporting design and analysis on real projects. You’ll collaborate with designers and engineers, contribute to drawings and calculations, and develop the fundamentals needed to progress toward responsible charge.

• Learn industry standards and SSR technical procedures; apply them on assigned tasks undersupervision.
• Assist with design analyses using industry software; perform basic computer‑based calculationsand system design functions.
• Support production of designs and documents in Revit and/or CADD; incorporate redlines fromsenior design staff.
• Help coordinate project designs with other disciplines; identify equipment needs and drafttechnical information for procedures and sequences.
• Observe how project managers develop man‑hour budgets and track progress; contributeorganized documentation.
• Assist with proposals, technical documentation, and presentations that communicate scope andapproach.
• Develop clear communication with contractors and sales representatives to understand scopeand feasibility (with oversight).
• Accompany senior staff on project site visits to investigate field conditions and monitorprogress; document observations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports; maintainneat, accurate files.
• Actively participate in internal/external training to expand knowledge in necessary technicalareas.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Water Resources or closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of engineering theories/methodologies and industry software (Revit and AutoCAD).
• Clear written communication and speech clarity; strong comprehension and follow‑through ondirection and feedback.
• Detail‑oriented with sound judgment and decision‑making; collaborative and eager to learn.
• Intent to study for and pass the FE exam within the first year.
