Job summary

RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks a Civil EIT to join our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, AK offices. The Civil EIT designs projects for public and private sector clients and participates in a hands-on design role within the Transportation Market Sector.

This position offers growth across multidisciplinary design and construction projects in Alaska, with opportunities to collaborate and gain valuable experience.”

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• The Civil EIT designs various types of projects for public and private sector clients in Alaska.

Job Description

RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks a Civil EIT (Engineer in Training) to join our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, AK office.

The Civil EIT designs various types of projects in our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, Alaska office for public and private sector clients. This is a hands-on engineering design position in RESPEC’s Transportation Market Sector and will include working on variety of multidiscipline design and construction projects. This is a great career opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual looking to grow in their profession while gaining valuable experience on a wide variety of projects performed across Alaska.

Qualifications

Required

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year.
• Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Preferred

• Experience in construction
• Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating is a plus.
• Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site, and roadway improvement projects.
