Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Designer to work on a range of projects in Minnesota (and Wisconsin as needed). The role involves independent and team-based work across commercial, industrial, residential, and municipal sectors, with CAD modeling and prepared construction documents.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering background, CAD/Civil 3D experience, and strong communication. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience in land development, utility, and roadway design.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with all aspects of civil engineering design including layout/geometry, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control.
• Prepare complete submission packages, supporting calculations, quantity and cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties.
• Assist project manager / project engineer with consultant and project team coordination.
• Perform planning activities, including project research, assessment of project feasibility
• Utilizes CAD in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems.
• Conducts quality assurance and quality control on projects.
