Job summary

Josh Pros LLC in Asheville, NC is seeking a Civil Designer to support the Design Team and Project Managers. You will prepare conceptual site plans and construction drawings and manage land development projects from small plots to 100+ acres using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

This on-site role requires mid-level experience, strong accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a high-functioning team.

Qualifications

Post-high school education preferred.
Civil design experience in site planning, land development, and water/sewer projects.
Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently within a high-functioning team and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

Design & Drafting: Prepare construction drawings, site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and pump/piping plans.
Data Analysis: Research and interpret field notes, engineering drawings, redlines, and survey information to resolve data discrepancies.
Project Research: Obtain record information from public utilities; research zoning maps and parcel data for water, sewer, and storm drainage specs.
Data Capture: Capture and verify as-built project data from GIS public domain websites, field mark-ups, and architectural data.
Collaboration: Maintain effective relationships with co-workers, inspectors, and external customers to meet project requirements.
