Job summary

Josh Pros LLC in Asheville, NC is seeking a Civil Designer to support the Design Team and Project Managers. You will prepare conceptual site plans and construction drawings and manage land development projects from small plots to 100+ acres using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Prepare construction drawings, site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and pump/piping plans.
• Data Analysis: Research and interpret field notes, engineering drawings, redlines, and survey information to resolve data discrepancies.
• Project Research: Obtain record information from public utilities; research zoning maps and parcel data for water, sewer, and storm drainage specs.
• Data Capture: Capture and verify as-built project data from GIS public domain websites, field mark-ups, and architectural data.
• Collaboration: Maintain effective relationships with co-workers, inspectors, and external customers to meet project requirements.

Role Overview

Working under general supervision, the Civil Designer collaborates with the Design Team and Project Managers to prepare conceptual site plans and construction drawings. This role involves managing land development projects ranging from small plots (under 1 acre) to large-scale developments (100+ acres) using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Prepare construction drawings, site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and pump/piping plans.


• Data Analysis: Research and interpret field notes, engineering drawings, digital redlines, and survey information to identify and resolve data discrepancies.


• Project Research: Obtain record information from public utilities; research zoning maps and parcel data for water, sewer, and storm drainage specifications.


• Data Capture: Capture and verify as-built project data from GIS public domain websites, field mark-ups, and architectural data.


• Collaboration: Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, inspectors, and external customers to meet project requirements.
