VHB is hiring a Civil Designer to join our Land Development Planning & Design team in Charlotte, NC. You’ll develop site civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of projects, including higher education campuses, healthcare facilities, and mixed‑use developments.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• EIT licensure or FE Exam passed is preferred or in progress.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office required.
• Experience with site design, civil plans, and reporting is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop site civil engineering plans and specifications for land development projects.
• Prepare site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion and sediment control designs.
• Produce construction documents and technical specifications with high accuracy.
• Support stormwater, utility design, and sustainable site design initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-office teams on integrated projects and mentor junior staff.
