Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks an experienced Civil Designer IV to join our Houston team, supporting industrial, site development, and infrastructure projects from concept through construction. You will develop design deliverables, site layouts, grading plans, and stormwater solutions under Civil Engineers and Lead Designers.

Candidate has 8–10 years of civil design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and the ability to work independently across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field required.
• 8–10 years of civil design experience preferred.
• Industrial civil/site or utility design experience strongly preferred.
• Experience on commercial, government, or infrastructure projects may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering construction and permitting drawings for projects ranging from small modifications to large capital developments.
• Design site grading, stormwater management systems, drainage improvements, and utility infrastructure.
• Create and maintain surface models, pipe networks, pressure pipe networks, and earthwork calculations.
• Develop conceptual site layouts and assist with project planning and cost studies.
• Coordinate project coordinate systems and collaborate with engineering and design teams.
• Perform field investigations, collect site data, verify existing conditions, and provide construction support.
• Conduct land development and zoning research for civil site projects.
• Review and check design drawings, calculations, and related project documentation.
• Apply company drafting standards and best practices to all project work.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts and design solutions with project teams and clients.
