Job summary

First Point Group in Houston is seeking a Lead Civil Designer to drive civil design and drafting for complex projects. You will lead teams, produce 2D/3D CAD models and drawings, and support design estimates and work plans.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in earthwork, drainage and road design, and proficiency with Civil 3D or OpenRoads. You will coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–13 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 14–17 years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience leading civil designers and drafters on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil designers and drafters on complex projects from planning to construction drawings.
• Develop designs for earthwork, drainage, and roads with minimal supervision.
• Review design work for standards, quality, safety and constructability.
• Coordinate field visits and resolve technical issues with project teams.
