Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Designer or EIT to work on a variety of civil projects across New Mexico, with opportunities to support Arizona and Texas as needed. The role involves independent and collaborative work under a Senior Engineer/PM, handling commercial, industrial, residential, and municipal work.

You will contribute to layout, drainage, water and sewer design, and develop 3D civil models using CAD/C3D, while coordinating with teams and ensuring quality control and standards development.

Qualifications

• Civil Designer – 5+ years’ experience with AutoCAD and development plan design.
• EIT with a BS in Civil Engineering and CAD experience; certification.
• Strong communication and time-management skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with civil engineering design including layout, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control.
• Prepare submission packages, supporting calculations, quantity and cost estimates, schedules, and other duties.
• Assist project manager with consultant and project team coordination.
• Perform planning activities and assess project feasibility.
• Utilize CAD in developing 3D models of civil systems.
• Conduct QA/QC on projects.
• Assist in developing new standards and processes for the civil group.
