Job summary

HDR is seeking a Civil Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio, to assist with site studies and designs as well as project management for civil/site projects. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, an EIT certificate (or the willingness to obtain one), and experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D. Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentation.
  • Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage.
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projects.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of “Civil Designer” and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D, 3D modeling, and plan production.
  • Local candidates preferred.
