Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Site / Civil Designer with EIT status to contribute to multidisciplinary civil engineering projects in New York. You will assist with site studies, design development, and documentation while collaborating with senior engineers and other disciplines.

The role emphasizes independent task execution, quality documentation, and adherence to project objectives. Local candidates are preferred, and the position offers full-time, on-site work within HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate; if not obtained, title may be Site Civil Designer with progression path.
• Familiarity with Civil3D.
• Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation.
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage design.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on specific design tasks, or assist more-senior engineers on larger assignments.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Site / Civil Designer / EIT, we'll count on you to

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering field
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Site Civil Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

• Local candidates preferred

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) New York: $64,313-$91,875 yearly
