Job summary

A leading design and merchandising institution is seeking a Civil Designer / EIT to assist with engineering projects including site studies, designs, and contract documentation. The candidate should hold an engineering degree in Civil or a related discipline and an EIT certificate is preferred. Responsibilities include performing site layout and grading, as well as managing small projects independently. This is a full-time position located in Ohio with consideration for local candidates.

Role

Civil Designer / EIT

Responsibilities

In the role of Civil Designer / EIT, we'll count on you to:

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation.
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Civil or related discipline).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of “Civil Designer” and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D, 3D modeling, and plan production.
• Local candidates preferred.

Required Qualifications
