Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Hydraulics EIT/Designer to work on a team of project engineers focused on detailed design for urban and rural roadway projects in Ohio. You will handle alignment, profile, geometrics, drainage, and the development of plans and construction estimates, while assisting with technical reports and calculations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil) and an EIT or progress toward it, with proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD and related highway

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certificate; candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator role and must obtain their EIT for progression.
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD; familiarity with Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3D.
• Local candidates preferred.

In the role of Transportation Hydraulics EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
• Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
