Job summary

HDR is seeking a Civil Site EIT/Engineer in the United States, Virginia Beach, to help design civil/site infrastructure within HDR's Building Site Civil team. You will support site studies, layout, and drainage while collaborating with experienced engineers to deliver robust designs.

The role requires a Civil/Structural degree and an EIT certificate, plus strong communication. HDR emphasizes employee ownership and a inclusive, values-driven environment, with full-time scheduling and regional

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
• Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Civil Site EIT/Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required
• Local candidates preferred
• PE license - Candidates hired without their PE will be titled "Civil Site EIT".

Required Qualifications
