DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Civil Designer - Earthwork focused to support utility-scale PV and battery storage projects from our Katy, TX site. You will prepare detailed civil designs, perform earthwork calculations, and coordinate with civil, structural and electrical teams to deliver constructible, compliant layouts.

This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and advancing site designs that meet owner and jurisdictional requirements across nationwide

Qualifications

• Proficient in civil design for large solar projects.
• Experience with site grading, drainage, and earthwork calculations.
• Familiarity with codes and permitting expectations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil designs for utility-scale solar projects.
• Apply site grading, road layout, and earthwork calculations.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and electrical teams to integrate site infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure design requirements are reflected in drawings.
• Manage multiple projects' workflows to balance development pace.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for site modeling and earthwork takeoffs.
• Produce preliminary grading surfaces from contours.
• Review documents to support base files for drawing packages.
