Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Katy, Texas is seeking a Civil Design Manager to lead civil design development for utility-scale solar projects.

You will drive design from concept to construction, coordinate with electrical and structural teams, and manage Engineers of Record and consultants to ensure cost-effective, compliant solutions. The role emphasizes leadership, risk management, and mentoring, with opportunities to influence project outcomes and support a collaborative, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer designation preferred; PE license valued.
• 7-10+ years of progressive engineering and project delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design development for utility-scale solar projects from concept to construction.
• Manage and direct Engineers of Record and external consultants.
• Review drainage, stormwater, and site development drawings for constructability.
• Coordinate interfaces with electrical, structural, and energy systems.
• Mentor staff and lead risk and constructability reviews.
