Job summary

TYG, a growing civil engineering consulting firm in the Dallas–Fort Worth market, seeks Civil Engineers at various levels to support land development and site design projects. You will work on residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments with a collaborative, design-focused team.

You will design, coordinate, and produce plans, perform stormwater analyses, and interface with clients and municipalities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in land development or civil/site design.
• Experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design.
• EIT preferred; PE preferred for senior-level roles or ability to obtain.
• Strong understanding of local development standards, permitting, and municipal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate land development projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and construction documents.
• Perform stormwater calculations and assist with drainage and utility design.
• Prepare plans, specifications, reports, and permit submittals.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, surveyors, architects, and subconsultants.
• Attend project and municipal meetings and assist with the permitting and approval process.
• Work closely with Project Managers and senior engineers to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
• Take on increasing responsibility for project coordination and client interaction as experience develops.

This is an opportunity for engineers with experience in land development, site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater who are looking to take on increasing project responsibility within a collaborative, design-focused environment. The role offers exposure to a range of private development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
