Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a Civil Design Intern for Summer 2027 in Lenexa, KS. This internship offers hands-on drafting experience, developing drawings and 3D models under engineer direction, and coordinating with design teams to review project information and ensure alignment with standards and constructability.

You will use MicroStation, AutoCAD, GeoPak and NavisWorks, learn applicable codes, attend weekly project meetings, and assist in creating plan drawings, details and as-built

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and disciplines.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner and interpret multi-discipline documents.
• Represent Kiewit Engineering and Design professionally to owners, contractors, vendors and others.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Operations Drafting/Design Standards Manual for each task.
• Develops 3D models from drawings, sketches, and design data.
• Creates plan drawings and details; supports in as-builts with RFIs/ECNs.
