Job summary

TAIT’s Loveland, CO office seeks a Civil Design Engineer to support land-development projects from preliminary layout through final plan production. You’ll tackle grading, drainage analysis, street design and widening, plus water, sewer, and storm-drain systems.

Day-to-day work includes Civil 3D modeling, earthwork calculations, and preparing SWMPs, drainage studies, and utility reports alongside an experienced engineering team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• 1–3 years’ civil engineering experience (entry level considered).
• E.I.T. certification preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2009+ and Civil 3D; Hydrology & Hydraulics software experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transform initial rough design info into construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Establish horizontal/vertical alignments, profiles, cross sections, and earthwork calculations.
• Prepare drainage, grading, water/sewer/storm drain plans and site layouts for land development.
• Create engineering drawings to project standards and quality.
• Develop exhibits and constraint maps from field data and research.
