Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support land-development projects from preliminary layout through final plan production. You will tackle grading, drainage analysis, street design and widening, plus water, sewer, and storm-drain systems. Daily tasks include Civil 3D modeling, earthwork calculations, and preparing SWMPs, drainage studies, and utility reports with an experienced team.

Minimum qualifications include a B.S. in Civil Engineering with 1–3 years of experience; E.I.T.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of civil engineering field experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• E.I.T. certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transform initial design information into construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Establish horizontal/vertical alignments, profiles, cross sections, and perform earthwork calculations.
• Prepare plans for drainage, grading, water/sewer/stormwater systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings to standards.
• Design basic construction documents and create exhibits using field data.
