Job summary

DuBois & King, Inc. (D&K) seeks a Civil Project Engineer with 5–15 years of experience to join our Dam Engineering Group in the Northeast. The role focuses on dam rehabilitation, safety evaluations, and regulatory compliance under municipal, state, and federal contracts.

You will manage projects across New England, perform advanced hydrologic, hydraulic, and geotechnical analyses, and mentor junior staff. The position offers growth toward a design team leader and project manager responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months, in Vermont, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts.
• BSCE or higher in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to work from Holyoke, MA or South Burlington, VT offices.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and internal teams to support growth of the dam engineering practice.
• Managing dam-related projects in New England under municipal, state, and federal contracts.
• Performing engineering analyses and design related to dam structures, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, geotechnical analysis, and structural evaluation.
• Managing project teams and providing mentorship to junior staff.
• Growing into a design team leader and project manager within the Dam Engineering Group.

This multidisciplinary team specializes in hydrologic and hydraulic, geotechnical, and structural engineering for dam infrastructure throughout the Northeast.Our projects include dam rehabilitation, dam safety evaluations, and regulatory compliance services for private, municipal, hydroelectric, state, and federal clients. It is expected that this role will include learning and mentorship of dam engineering from current senior staff to function as/grow into a design team leader.Compensation Range:The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
