Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to support Laborers and Journeymen with material handling, equipment prep, cleaning and setup of work areas in Reno, NV. You will assist with scaffolding, concrete work, and debris removal, while maintaining safety and teamwork across diverse crews.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation with a positive attitude and professional communication; detail-oriented and receptive to feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing: up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will require assistance or equipment.

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer that will be responsible for assisting Laborers and Laborer Journeyman with material handling, assembling and dismantling of equipment, preparing work areas, and cleaning of machines and workspaces.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by other crafts
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned
