Job summary

McCourt Construction is a Boston-based general contractor seeking an Estimator to join our team. You will prepare hard-bid cost estimates and design-build proposals for New England's largest and most complex projects, using advanced takeoff and estimating software to deliver accurate bids.

Responsibilities include takeoffs, engineering analysis, subcontractor and supplier outreach, pre-bid and descoping meetings, and project pricing.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze plans and specs.
• Ability to perform proper takeoffs.
• Experience with heavy highway construction estimates.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Familiarity with MassDOT/MBTA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takeoffs and engineering analysis.
• Subcontractor and supplier outreach.
• Pre-bid, owner descoping, and subcontractor descoping meetings.
• Project pricing and bid preparation.
• Estimate a job from start to finish with minimal help.
