Black & Veatch invites applications for an Apprentice Construction Laborer focused on civil projects. The role includes classroom and on‑the‑job training, shadowing a Civil Journeyman, and learning layout, forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts to install concrete structures per plans and codes.

You will contribute to safety programs, read plans, and assist with formwork, pouring and finishing concrete, while developing practical skills on critical infrastructure projects.

Competenze

• 0-6 months of experience or 0–1000 hours working as a carpenter or similar civil craft.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including background check, drug screen and motor vehicle records search.

Mansioni

• Assist Civil Journeyman in planning, lay-out and installation of forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts for concrete structures.
• Operate hand and power tools to construct, form and finish concrete according to plans and standards.
• Participate in safety programs and report hazards to supervisors; follow lockout/tagout procedures.
