Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc is seeking an Apprentice to receive classroom and on-the-job training for Construction Laborer Civil. You will shadow and assist a Civil Journeyman in planning, layout and installation of forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts for concrete structures in line with plans, specs and codes.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools to construct forms, ensuring precise dimensions, and pouring concrete as specified.

Qualifications

• 6 months–1 year experience or 1001–2000 hours in carpentry or similar civil craft.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Must be at least 18 years old and complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, layout and installation of forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts.
• Operate hand and power tools to construct forms and prepare concrete structures.
• Maintain safety programs, report hazards and participate in investigations.
• Read plans and follow project specifications to ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with other crafts and team members on site.
