Job summary

RNGD is seeking a CAD Technician to support the Surveying Team on civil infrastructure projects across the Southeast. You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center to draft, model, compute field layouts, and produce 3D surfaces and takeoffs for estimation and construction.

Collaboration with field operations, estimators, and project teams is daily. You will maintain accurate utility records, verify designer CAD files against plan PDFs, and support field layout with machine-control

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in Construction Survey or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center).
• Strong ability to read construction plans and produce field layouts and 3D models.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD drafting, modeling, and survey calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
• Prepare field layout files including linework, control points, staking data, and machine control deliverables.
• Create and manage 3D models for survey control and machine guidance.
• Generate quantities and takeoffs to support estimating and planning.
• Review designer CAD files against plan PDFs for alignment and accuracy.
