Job summary

Maverick Engineering inc. is seeking an experienced Civil CAD Drafter/Technician to support civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects in Midland and West Texas.

The role focuses on AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency and producing construction-ready drawings in collaboration with engineers, surveyors, and the design team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional CAD drafting experience, strong civil plan development skills, and the ability to handle

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of professional CAD drafting/design experience in civil engineering, land development, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify civil construction drawings, site development plans, grading, paving, utility, drainage and infrastructure plans.
• Develop construction plan sets from preliminary concepts to final documents.
• Create plan and profile sheets for roadways, water lines, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage.
• Maintain Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks.
• Import and process survey data including LandXML and existing-condition linework.
• Coordinate survey base files with proposed engineering drawings.
• Assist with grading design, earthwork coordination, drainage layouts, and utility routing.
• Prepare permitting exhibits, construction details, quantity exhibits, and easement exhibits.
• Incorporate engineering calculations and field information into construction documents.
• Perform internal QA/QC to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
