Job summary

Maverick Engineering inc. is seeking an experienced Survey CAD Technician to join our Survey Department in Midland, TX. You will transform field survey data into precise drawings and deliverables using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

You will work with RPLS, field crews, engineers, and PMs on land development, municipal, industrial, and oil & gas projects and ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional survey CAD drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of land surveying terminology and deliverables.
• Ability to read deeds, plats, easements, and legal descriptions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS surveys, plats, and staking plans.
• Process field data and prepare accurate survey drawings and exhibits.
• Create accurate plats, exhibits, sketches, and related documents.
• Read and plot property descriptions and recorded documents.
• Assist with boundary research and conflict resolution.
• Coordinate survey information with civil plans and project teams.
• Maintain CAD files and drafting standards; perform QC checks.
• Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
