Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Civil CAD Designer to join a collaborative team and assist in planning and design of civil engineering land development projects.

You will work with Project Engineers using AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop documents, perform feasibility assessments, prepare reports, and help manage client communications across sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Sciences or equivalent knowledge.
• 3+ years of experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion is desired.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting.
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills.
• Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Effectively use reports, maps and drawings to plan and design civil engineering and land development projects.
• Prepare planning and design documents with Project Engineers using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Perform zoning and feasibility assessments for development projects.
• Conduct field inspection services as needed.
• Write and review draft reports including feasibility studies and stormwater reports.
• Interact professionally with client and subcontractor representatives with supervision.
• Perform other duties as requested.
