Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction CAD / Data Prep Specialist to translate civil plans into accurate 3D models and GPS-ready data for field crews.

You will build 3D surface models, prepare survey staking files, convert plans into constructible CAD models, perform QA, and collaborate with Survey, Project Managers, and Engineers on highways, utilities, and site development projects. This office-based role focuses on data prep with Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil CAD experience or construction data prep
• Background in surveying or field construction valued
• Training provided for strong CAD candidates with TBC
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Strong math skills required

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain 3D surface models, terrain models, and construction files for GPS- and Total Station–controlled equipment
• Prepare survey staking files and construction data for field crews
• Convert civil engineering plans into accurate, constructible CAD models
• Perform grade checks, surface reviews, and quality control on models and files
• Collaborate with Survey, Project Managers, and Engineers to resolve conflicts
