Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil CAD or construction data prep experience.
• Background in surveying or field construction valued.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center preferred (training provided).
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or similar preferred—or equivalent experience.
• Strong math skills (geometry, measurements, grades).
• Proficiency with CAD software and general computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain 3D surface models, terrain models, and construction files for GPS- and Total Station-controlled equipment.
• Prepare survey staking files and construction data for field crews.
• Convert civil engineering plans into accurate, constructible CAD models.
• Perform grade checks, surface reviews, and quality control on models and files.
• Collaborate with Survey, Project Managers, and Engineers to resolve conflicts.
