Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Civil Construction CAD / Data Prep Specialist in Springdale, AR.

You will produce accurate 3D models, GPS machine control files, and survey staking data to support road and site projects, translating civil plans into field-ready CAD models. Focus is on data prep over architectural drafting; you’ll use Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D to support highways, grading, utilities, and site development with strong attention to detail and collaboration with

Qualifications

• 2+ years in civil CAD or construction data prep.
• Background in surveying or field construction valued.
• Trimble Business Center experience preferred (training available).
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or similar preferred.
• Strong math skills: geometry, grades, slopes.
• Proficient with CAD software and general computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain 3D surface and terrain models for GPS/Total Station control.
• Prepare survey staking files and construction data for field crews.
• Convert civil plans into accurate, constructible CAD models.
• Perform grade checks, surface reviews, and quality control on models.
• Collaborate with Survey, PMs, and Engineers to resolve conflicts.
