Job summary

Harvard Divinity School seeks a Manager to develop and advance the School's Professional and Lifelong Learning (PLL) programs, working with faculty, leadership, alumni, and external partners. Qualifications

  • Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in academic programming, professional education, continuing education, academic administration, public programming, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs, initiatives, or educational offerings involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Candidates wishing to be considered must supply a cover letter in addition to a resume.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and growth of HDS's PLL portfolio in partnership with faculty and leadership, including non-degree programs and certificates.
  • Manage planning, implementation, and evaluation of academic and professional learning programs across summer, J-Term, and the academic year.
  • Research educational trends and audience needs to inform program development and growth.
  • Serve as a primary partner to faculty in delivering academic programming and events.
  • Build relationships with alumni, university colleagues, professional organizations, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with campus and external partners to support successful program delivery.
  • Oversee program budgets, registrations, contracts, and administrative processes.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using enrollment, feedback, outcomes, and financial performance.
